At Akhepran International Academy, the health and safety of our students, staff, and community are paramount. Our comprehensive Health & Safety programs are designed to create a secure and supportive learning environment, ensuring that every member of our school community feels safe, healthy, and ready to engage in academic and extracurricular activities. 

A safe and healthy school environment is essential for fostering academic excellence and personal growth. By prioritizing health and safety, we can reduce the risk of injuries and illnesses, support mental well-being, and create a positive, productive atmosphere where students can thrive. 

Our experienced and dedicated faculty and staff are committed to helping each student reach their full potential. They provide a supportive learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.

Our school is staffed with a qualified nurse and medical professionals who are available to address health concerns, administer first aid, and provide ongoing medical support. The Health Services office is open during school hours and can be contacted for health-related issues.

To aim to maintain a healthy school environment, we recommend regular health screenings for vision, hearing, and scoliosis. All students are required to meet state immunization requirements before attending school. Please ensure that your child's immunization records are up-to-date and submitted to the Health Services office. 

We conduct regular emergency drills, including fire, lockdown, and evacuation drills, to ensure that students and staff are prepared for any situation. Our Safety Manual outlines detailed emergency procedures and is available to all parents and guardians. 

Our campus has state-of-the-art security systems, including surveillance cameras and controlled access points. Security personnel are on campus to monitor and respond to security concerns. 

All visitors to the school must check in at the main office and present a valid ID. Visitors will be issued a temporary pass and must be accompanied by a staff member while on campus. These measures help us maintain a safe and secure environment for our students. 

Our counseling department provides individual and group counseling sessions to support students' mental health and emotional well-being. Counselors are available to help students navigate personal challenges, academic stress, and social issues. 

We offer various programs and workshops to raise awareness about mental health issues, reduce stigma, and promote a culture of support and understanding. Topics include stress management, coping strategies, and mindfulness practices. 

A range of mental health resources is available for students and parents, including informational brochures, online resources, and referrals to external mental health professionals. Our goal is to provide a network of support to ensure the well-being of our entire school community.

During a COVID breakout, we are committed to following the latest public health guidelines to keep our school community safe. We communicate regular updates on COVID-19 protocols, including mask policies, social distancing measures, and hygiene practices, to parents and students. 

In accordance with public health recommendations, we encourage all eligible students and staff to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Our Health Services office provides information on vaccine availability and requirements. 

We offer robust remote learning options to accommodate students who may need to quarantine or prefer to learn from home. These include virtual classes, online assignments, and access to digital resources, ensuring continuity of education regardless of circumstances.
